InterCommunity Health Care Announces Retirement of CEO Kimberly Beauregard; Tyler Booth Appointed Successor
East Hartford, CT – November 24, 2025 – InterCommunity Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the Greater Hartford region, today announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Kimberly Beauregard will retire effective April 1, 2026, after more than 22 years of leadership. She will continue as a special advisor through June 30, 2026. Tyler Booth, currently Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed to succeed her as President and CEO on April 1.
Beauregard assumed leadership in 2003, guiding InterCommunity through financial instability and limited-service scope to become a stable and growing organization delivering comprehensive primary care, behavioral health services, and addiction recovery support. Under her leadership, InterCommunity expanded from serving a few hundred adults to more than 7,000 individuals annually. The organization now operates 21 locations and employs approximately 400 staff, including 11 school-based health centers.
Beauregard led the transformation of InterCommunity into a fully integrated model of care, recognizing the need to address mental health, substance use, and primary care together. Over the past 15 years, her strategy has helped InterCommunity become a thriving FQHC delivering coordinated health services to children and adults across the community.
“InterCommunity’s strengths, capable staff, and the Board’s thoughtful planning enabled me to make this decision now,” said Beauregard. “I look forward to watching Tyler and the team continue the organization’s success.”
Board Chair Meghan Blanchette praised Beauregard’s tenure, noting, “Kim is an inspiring leader, a fierce businesswoman, and a true champion for care. We wish her a well-deserved and fulfilling retirement and are confident Tyler will continue to grow and strengthen the organization.”
Booth brings more than 25 years of leadership and over 30 years of clinical experience. A graduate of Trinity College and Simmons School of Social Work, he joined InterCommunity in 2006 and has served as COO since 2010. In that role, Booth has overseen agency operations across 48 programs and 21 locations, including clinical services, human resources, quality assurance, and community integration.
Booth has been instrumental in creating nationally recognized programs such as Help Now, I CAN Recover, and Hartford’s Transitions Clinic for justice-involved individuals. His leadership has helped reduce grant dependence by 300%, increase third-party revenue more than 100-fold, and position InterCommunity as Connecticut’s only organization with dual designation as a Federally Qualified Health Center and Certified Community Behavioral Health Center. During Booth’s tenure as COO, InterCommunity has received 15 Top Workplace awards.
“The Board conducted a rigorous vetting process, and we are thrilled with Tyler’s appointment,” said Bill Young, Vice Chair of the Board and head of the succession planning committee. “He brings a rare combination of clinical expertise, business leadership, and proven success managing high-performing teams. He is uniquely positioned to build on InterCommunity’s strong foundation.”
