Chelsea Groton Bank Appoints Marikate Murren as Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer

GROTON, Conn. – Chelsea Groton Bank has named Marikate Murren, Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer, to lead all human capital and talent strategies across the organization.

Marikate will be responsible for shaping HR strategies that support business objectives, organizational development, talent management and employee engagement, and workforce planning. In addition, she will propel forward the organization’s vision of empowering employees to reach their fullest potential and foster an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued.


Marikate graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Arts in Sports Management. Prior to joining Chelsea Groton Bank, Marikate served as Vice President of Human Resources at the Rhode Island Airport Corporation, where she played a pivotal role in strategic development, direction and leadership for Human Resources. She also held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at MGM Springfield, contributing significantly to the property's overall success.
 
Marikate resides in Westerly, RI. She formerly served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Springfield Technical Community College.
