About Us

Here at the T&J Zafiris Organization we DONUT worry about sluggish Monday mornings. Our team has a passion to keep our communities running and we are crazy about our people. We pride ourselves in being a small, family-owned and operated Dunkin’ Franchise group located in East Hartford, CT and Northern California. We treat our team members and our guests as part of our extended family. Our roots began in a small village in the Epirus region of Greece when owner and founder, James Zafiris, was born into his first coffee shop. He had dreams of heading to the United States. Hard work and unwavering determination resulted in opportunity for Jim in the Dunkin’ community. Jim opened his first Dunkin’ Donuts in 1991 at our 1084 Main Street, East Hartford location. Nearly 30 years later Jim’s son, Ted Zafiris, carries on his father’s legacy with T&J Zafiris, Inc. Our culture is built on their philosophies – great people with great values serving a great cup of coffee. It’s teamwork, it’s dream work, it’s our Dunkin’ family!
