PORTRAIT PAINTING & DRAWING
November 12 and 13, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm each day
Elevate your portrait painting and drawing skills in this immersive 2-day workshop. Under the expert guidance of renowned artist and instructor Sam D’Ambruoso, you will delve into the art of portrait development through both drawing and painting. This comprehensive workshop will cover essential techniques including basic shapes, planes, values, color theory, and recommended flesh tone mixing. Additionally, you will explore compositional elements, all while working from a live model. Participants will benefit from personalized one-on-one instruction, ensuring a tailored learning experience. Instructor demonstrations will be conducted using charcoal and/or oils, providing a clear and practical understanding of the methods. While all skill levels are welcome, some prior experience in drawing and painting is recommended to maximize your learning. Bring a bag lunch and water.
