Discover the intricate beauty of paper quilling, an art form that dates back to the Renaissance and beyond. In this presentation, we will explore the rich history of quilling, from its origins to its evolution as a beloved decorative art form. Learn about the tools for quilling, as well as about the beautiful paper used to create this ancient art. Enjoy a demonstration and celebrate this timeless and meditative activity.
Marcy Kaplan of Serial Quiller Creations located in New London, Connecticut is by trade a licensed social worker of more than 25 years. An art enthusiast since childhood, she found paper quilling and fell in love with the art form.
This program is part of the Art Talks series presented by Glastonbury Arts. The presentations provide a window-in to the creative experience for original art and handmade craft. Popular to artists, students, and art appreciators alike.
